How does captions import work in the video feed?
Captions import tries to find subtitles in the language you’re studying. If there are no subtitles in that language, automatically generated captions are used instead (if they exist).
If there are neither subtitles nor caption in the language, English captions/subtitles are used instead and translated later to the target language.
The length of the captions is then cut down to 10,000 characters maximum. This equals roughly to 15 minutes (depending on how dense the text in the video is).
The captions are then formatted with AI in order to add proper punctuation, paragraph spacing etc.
Imported captions will appear under the “Imported” tab in your Library after they finish processing.
