You can choose which voices to use from Course Settings (under Account Settings). These voices apply only to word and phrase lookups and to flashcards.
In the case of flashcards, these voices are only used by the learning language. You cannot change the voices for the base language.
If you select multiple voices, they app will randomly pick one voice each time audio is generated.
Why aren't articles and longer texts using these voices?
The pronunciation voices do not apply for audio generation of articles, stories etc. This might change in the future though.
